Natoli Palace

Palazzo Natoli is an eighteenth-century baroque palace in the historic center of Palermo, located on the ascent of the SS. Salvatore, cataloged by experts of the Superintendent of Fine Arts of the Italian government, which belonged to the princely family Natoli.
On the facade of the building is the coat of arms of the millennial dynasty Natoli, ''"the embattled tower at ghibellina, on a rock coming out of a sea with a rampant lion and crowned on the rock"'' but is enriched at its sides by a series of symbolic icons in remember the activity of jurist the Marquis Vincenzo Natoli, including, on the one hand an ostrich with nails in the mouth over an open book to symbolize the ability to apply it right laws, the opposite side of the coat of arms of family Natoli, shows the scale, the laurel branch, the sword and a dog prancing about in a book, this time indoors, which is opposed to the snake to symbolize the principles which should inspire us always righteous justice applied.
The interior sees an elegant staircase with two ramps, characterized by a very large entrance hall and scenic and several interior richly decorated with antique wall painting. In the dining rooms are of great artistic value the cycle of frescoes by Gioacchino Martorana that tell the history and the heroic deeds of the Natoli family enriched by various allegorical scenes: oval is depicted in a painting ''"Madonna with Child praying St. Vincent Ferrer"'' among a group of angels that appear in the midst of clouds, in another ''"the Assumption between angels and archangels"'' that covers the ceiling of a large room, made on commission of the Marquis Vincenzo Natoli in memory of his wife Maria Sieripepoli, he died during the construction of the palace itself.
